CMN, a French naval shipbuilder, returns for a second engagement.
Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie builds and supports naval and paramilitary vessels for navies and coast guards. Every hull ships with a documentation set that has to be complete, traceable and answerable for decades. CMN first engaged Sea-Squad on one programme's documentation and came back for a second.

The challenge.
A newbuild programme produces tens of thousands of pages: class rules, regulatory references, supplier manuals, test and trial records, and the contractual documents that bind them together. Engineers and programme managers were answering questions by knowing which binder to open. Hand-over to the operating navy meant re-reading that library to prove every requirement had been met, and every regulatory update meant checking it again by hand.
What we deployed.
Programme document intelligence
The full documentation set ingested, OCR'd where it only existed as scans, and made searchable with the page and paragraph behind every answer.
Regulatory cross-checking
Marine-GPT answers class and flag questions against the programme's own documents, so a rule change can be traced to the drawings and procedures it touches.
Contract and obligation tracking
Legal-GPT reads the contractual set and surfaces obligations, deadlines and acceptance criteria in one register, with the clause behind each line.
Isolated deployment
A dedicated environment with no shared infrastructure, full audit logging and export on request, sized for defence-grade handling requirements.
How it runs, day to day.
A programme manager asks which trial records cover a specific acceptance clause and gets the list with page references, not a folder to search.
A class circular lands; the team asks what it changes for the vessel in build and gets the affected procedures and drawings in one answer.
Hand-over documentation is assembled from the register instead of rebuilt from scratch, with every requirement linked to its evidence.
Outcomes.
On a naval programme the question is never whether the document exists. It is whether you can put your hand on the right page when the customer asks. Now we can.
