Flovel brings Sea-Squad's inspection module from ships to hydropower plants.
Flovel Energy has spent more than five decades in hydropower: a manufacturer of Pelton, Francis and Kaplan turbines and valves, and a turnkey supplier of electro-mechanical packages, renovation and modernisation for small and medium hydro plants across India. Its engineers inspect equipment at remote sites where connectivity is the exception. Flovel runs Sea-Squad's inspection module to capture that work on site and turn it into accountable reports back at the office.

The challenge.
Hydro plants sit at the end of long roads with little or no signal. Inspections of turbines, generators, valves and penstocks were captured on paper or in phone photos, written up days later, and hard to compare across visits or sites. Findings that should have become work orders waited for someone to type them.
What we deployed.
Offline-first inspection app
Plant and unit templates in place of vessel templates: engineers start, fill and complete an inspection with no connection, with photos, notes and defect grading, and it syncs when the phone is back in range.
Structured findings
Each item is graded, photographed and tied to the unit and component, so a finding is a record rather than a line in a notebook.
Office review
Submitted inspections enter a review queue; the office approves or returns them with a reason, and every decision records who and when.
Reports and history
Inspection reports are generated from the captured record, and the history of each unit is available for the next visit.

An engineer arrives at a plant with no signal, opens the unit's template and works through the inspection with photos and notes.
Back in range, the inspection syncs; the office sees the findings the same day and returns one item with a question.
The report is generated from the record and shared with the plant owner, with the photos and grading behind each line.
